Not too cool for school

Updated: Sep 21, 2020

More and more Brisbane students are cooling off under Delta Panels.

Students at St Eugene’s College in Burpengary and at Cleveland State High are the latest to enjoy their lunch protected from the elements.

Ryan Finlay of Sustainable Cladding & Roofing said they had installed a 200m² roof at St Eugene’s College.

“This is the sixth time we’ve used Delta Panel products for our projects,” he said.

“We used the 175mm DeltaTrim, an all-in-one solution for roofing, insulation and ceiling – the quality of the material is superior than their competitors and it’s a really affordable product. They have a quick turnaround and the product is packaged and handled well.

“We’ve just been commissioned to build a 400m² walkway at the school and we’ll use Delta Panels again and include Delta’s new LED skylight panels.”

The 250m² undercover area at Cleveland State High (above) was installed by H & L Constructions using 150mm DeltaTrim™.

Delta Sales Manager Steve Marlow said it went up in less than a week.

“It was as tricky project, as the work had to be done outside school hours, but once the structural work was complete, the team at H & L Constructions had it up within three to four days,” he said.

“It’s a great multi-purpose space now, providing shade and shelter for the kids at lunchtime but also creating an outdoor performance and learning space for the school.”

Steve said the installations at Burpengary and Cleveland were just two of dozens of recent school-based projects featuring Delta Panels.

“Schools across Queensland are trying to make the most of their outdoor space. Our range of roofing panels are perfect for creating a space that is useable in all types of weather, and it looks great!” he said.
